Is copper even real?

I just came back to the game, and Im in no way trying to claim I'm very good. I was gold on Xbox and Obviously copper on PC now as I've switched. However I would say I'm a decently average player aim wise and okayish mechanically but could definitely without a doubt improve so I don't really care about being hardstuck copper right now.

However now I've had some games where I truly question if some of these copper players are actual players because lord above me. A lot don't react to sound, some get shot and then look the complete other way.

Now I really find it hard to believe that a player can go 0.5KD Or lower which makes me thinks these teammates I've gotten that are just can't be real right like surely....

So realistically what's the problem. Is it people playing on machines that just can't run the game but still try to play. Are they even real? Do they even own headsets. Do they even own a monitor.

I never really noticed it on Console. Is the skill gap really that big on PC?
