Looking for spicy recommendation for wedding outfit?

Hi guys, I need to attend a family friends wedding and I am kind of confused between wearing a simple navy blue or black suit or maybe experimenting a little with fashion, I was thinking of pairing up a maroon velvet blazer with white trousers, what do you guys think? I am open to more suggestion and ideas
