IVO witnesses in VIC

There is currently an ivo being contested between my two parents and I had to give a statement to police when the IVO was applied for as I was brought into their mess

I received a call from police recently about giving evidence in court if the court deems it necessary and it’s making me lose sleep at night

Do they always call witnesses for evidence specifically for IVO’s in Victoria??
