Independent School Teaching Certificate

Is the Independent School Teaching Certificate only offered in BC?

I have a Canadian BA worth 120 credits and would like to teach secondary technology at offshore schools.

Considering taking Athabasca online courses for any higher level courses I may need to qualify for the teaching certificate.

Just wondering if anyone has experience with this. Were you able to teach your first year on letter of permission while overseas and completing the Independent School Teaching Certificate online?

Or does the Independent School Teaching Certificate require physically being in BC as the only option to complete it?

I may have some misunderstanding with the processing time, in terms of earning the Independent School Teaching Certificate and the processing time to receive it while teaching your first year on letter of permission.
