Looking for some advice

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice.

I’m deciding between moving to Belgium or Ireland. I have Italian citizenship and my wife is Brazilian, so I would apply for her visa through me. We have two kids (6 and 12). My plan is to move first alone to get things set up before bringing my family.

The main issue is that in Belgium I don’t know anyone and would be starting completely from scratch, relying mostly on online groups. In Ireland I have a very close friend who could help me, but the rent is more expensive.

In your opinion, is it still worth going to Belgium without knowing anyone because it might be better long-term about kids, gov benefits etc, or would you choose Ireland in this situation?
