One nipple still inverted 1 month after breast reduction :(
Hi everyone,
I had a breast reduction about a month ago and overall the healing is going well. However, one of my nipples came out normally after surgery, but the other one (right side) still looks inverted/sunken in. I spoke with my surgeon about it, but he couldn’t give a definite answer. He said that over the next 3–6 months the breast tissue will settle and drop slightly, and as that happens the nipple might come out on its own — but it also might not.
Has anyone experienced something similar after a breast reduction? Did your nipple eventually come out as the swelling went down and the tissue settled?
Also, if anyone has recommendations for scar care, I’d really appreciate it. My doctor gave me a cream, but I’m curious if there are other things that helped improve your scars.
Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences
