I need advice for my gf

Me 17m and this girl 18f started texting on snap a while ago and we started dating and she lives a hr away from me.

We were supposed to meet 4 different times, the first time her dad didn’t let her go, the second she was in the Hospital all day with an infection which was true, the 3rd time her dad didn’t let her go again and we were supposed to meet on Monday but on Friday she started to not read msgs for a day at a time and she revealed her dads got cancer now but Idk if I should believe it or not I feel bad for even questioning it.

She’s very insecure abt her looks bcs she recently lost 120+ pounds and she doesn’t like to show her face on FaceTime but she does have photos of herself online for her pfp
