Do you think Ronald Reagan actually thought he was doing the best for America with total integrity?
I feel like a lot of presidents must’ve had some self-awareness for better and for worse. I mean I’m sure Nixon knew that much of what he did was not in good faith at all.
With Reagan, there’s moving the US several paces closer to a more theoretically-aligned system, trickle down economics, Iran-Contra, getting drugs into black communities, and more. There’s him before his presidency turning in fellow actors to the unAmerican committee. Him as governor dropping water on protestors. All and so much more.
Do you think he truly did all of it in good faith?
