Gp won't do shared care

Just had a call with my gp. Guess what, they won't do shared care with a private provider. The excuse...

'When you go private for any nhs service you can't get nhs care.'

I pointed out that on the welsh gender care wensite it says you can seek provate care while waiting fir your nhs appointment. I am just devestated, i don't know what to do. The wait is going to be years fir an nhs appointment and going private is expensive. I have a mortgage, kids and otger expences i can't afford to go private abd because my wife and i earn slightly too much we are just above the limit for means tested benefits and therefore don't qualify for any financial help for those that offer it.

Part of me wants to just phone them every day untol they give in and say yes. I know however that this would take time with a doctor that need it, so in my mind not an option. Just a bit of context. I live in a town where there is only one gp surgery that serves the surroubding area (about 10,000 people). So going to another gp isn't an option, there isn't one.

So what are my options? Bite the bullet go privatr and try to find the money from somewhere, probavly not doable, i already work 6 days a week. Diy, honestly, wouldn't know where to start with that abd don't know where to get things from, the legality of it (can't afford to get arrested and be unable to support my family), just waiting. I am already mid 40's, and i am severely depressed, making it very hard to get the energy to do anything.

I don't know what to do. I feel trapped. I hate this world.
