Why is my car making this noise?

Started my car (Subaru Crosstrek) this morning and it made this continuous high pitch “eeeeee” noise (it sounded like it was coming from my dashboard/left hand side of the driver side seat) no warning lights on my dashboard I tried to troubleshoot it this morning. By doing the following 1) restarting the car 2) double checking all doors/truck are fully shut and no luck the noise also happens when the car is off and the driver side door is open. With no luck, it seemed that my car was driving just fine (besides the beep)
