Friendly reminder to keep calm during Free Agency.

With the AJ Brown trade rumors and recent players leaving the Birds, it’s easy to stress out over this offseason. Progress in the FA doesn’t necessarily mean getting the biggest splashiest deals. Sometimes FA for teams are quiet or more nuanced.

• We have four compensatory picks for 2026 and two for the 2027 draft. There’s opportunity in that.

• According to Bleeding Green, the Eagles officially own nine picks overall in this year’s NFL Draft:

1st — own pick

2nd — own pick

3rd — from New York Jets

3rd — compensatory pick

4th — own pick

4th — compensatory pick

5th — from Atlanta Falcons

5th — compensatory pick

6th — compensatory pick

Plus, were projected third-round pick for losing Jaelan Phillips and a sixth-round pick for losing Jahan Dotson.

• We’re working on contracts that will help get our key players to stay (we just signed Jordan Davis to a three year deal, for example)

• The draft is more than six weeks away so there’s plenty of time.

• Also there’s plenty more opportunities in Free Agency.

It’s gonna work out just fine. We just gotta accept our loses and be patient.
