Psychosis
The DSM-5 defines psychosis as a loss of contact with reality, primarily characterized by key features like hallucinations and delusions. When I talk about you, about us, it wouldn’t be too far off to say I was heading toward psychosis. I tell everyone you’re coming back, and I genuinely believe it too. I talk using “when,” not “if.” “When B comes back,” “When B and I get back together.” I know we’re not done. Despite the fact I told you to block me and you’re currently blocked on my end, Hashem is going to make sure we make our ways back to each other. I feel it in my soul and in my bones that our story isn’t over. When I tell this to anyone, I get a sarcastic “sure!” or a “No, S.” No one believes me. Or maybe no one wants you back in my life. I can’t say I blame them. After all, I am in a psychosis-like state almost five months after breaking up. I still want you, though. I want my happiness to include you again. I want so badly for this psychosis feeling to end and just manifest into reality.
