Paid via Interac E-transfer, don't even have a Canadian bank account

Community

Hello everyone. Apologies if wrong flair, but I genuinely don't know what to do in this case.

For some context, my former client (had to cut them off a few weeks ago) was someone I only did basic tasks for. So ang main focus ko is with simple graphic design and responding to their emails. We had a conflict about their micromanaging as they were pestering me with unnecessary calls during shift and made a number of racist remarks towards me and my partner.

The final two days of my part-time shifts went unpaid and I already made reports about them. Now, I didn't hold onto them paying me at all anymore after they went and seemingly deactivated their accounts. Obviously that sucked, pero ano pa ba magagawa ko at this point after reporting them.

Now, I received an email (already confirmed it's legit) na they sent me a small portion of my pay. Now since ang Interac works from Canadian bank to Canadian bank only, I literally cannot deposit it (kahit sa Wise hindi siya nagwwork). I already asked some of my friends if they had a Canadian bank account, but no luck, same with my relatives. Now I'm just wondering kung paano ko pa makukuha ito since malapit na rin na mag-expire + marerefund siya if di ko maclaim in time. Is there any sort of middleman service I could inquire with if ever? TIA!
