Rawdogging - The Sequel
A follow up “not-poem” documenting being unmedicated
-
I think it’s going well
-
I got a new car recently I opened her up today on the backroads. It was beautiful out and I was chasing dopamine with the windows down
-
This was the only time I was uphill at all today
-
I decided I spend too much time on my phone and need to read more.
-
Spent the last three nights on my laptop instead.
-
Does it count that I have books IN bed with me?
-
I think it does
-
Made it a point to bring a book outside with me today while tanning.
-
And now we’re downhill
-
I fell asleep within two minutes.
-
My tan looks really great from the back
-
I blame my front on the book
-
I remembered to pick up children today!
-
I was late
-
I forgot to eat
-
Then had two bags of chips an ice cream bar and decided to finish with something healthy fresh cut apple
-
Remember the hill?
-
I freaked out over not being able to find the honey
-
It was in the fridge and I had a meltdown
-
In my defense who tf puts honey in the fridge
-
Sadists put honey in the fridge
-
I’ve discovered I’d rather die a slow painful death of botulism from room temperature honey than chew on taffy
-
Then I tossed the honey on the counter and it broke
-
Did I say the hill was steep?
-
Number 23 was a lie
-
I launched the honey into the wall above the counter
-
The lid broke
-
The bottle slid across the counter into my plate of freshly cut apple
-
Which ended up on the floor
-
Not right side up
-
The kids laughed
-
I cried
-
I hid in one of the bedrooms later to play surprise hide and seek …a sort of “sorry mommy lost her shit earlier” last ditch effort
-
They yelled at me
-
I poured out hair oil on top of their Stanley to prove a point
-
To which the mini version of myself screamed out “You need to get back on medication”
-
The hill is a ravine
-
It’s not going well
