How to check battery life

I've been using my current ipad for good time And recently noticed that it's battery life is draining pretty quickly. I just wanted to check what its maximum Battery life could be But it doens't show it I've tried using the system analytics but I can't seem to wrap my head around it If someone could explain to me That would be wonderful. Thanks.
