help! something’s wrong after updating/something else

okay so i recently downloaded a few books on my kindle and i suppose that it updated because so many things have changed and stopped working for me… don’t know how to fix it. this is what i’ve noticed:

1. it seems as though my books (both new and old/books that used to be fine) have been divided into two types.

the first type doesn’t show progress anymore when viewed from the library, it just says “read”. the other type does.

on the books that DONT show progress, the spacing between the lines is normal (like before). on the ones that DO, the spacing is way too big, even though i have it on the smallest option. even some books that used to show progress don’t anymore, and books that used to have normal spacing don’t.

2. page numbers apparently aren’t a thing anymore? books that used to have page numbers don’t and none of the new ones do.

has this happened to anyone? what could be the cause?and how do i fix it? i haven’t found anyone on here talk abt this
