It's time for another Gen 1 Pokemon to get a new Mega form, in this case it's the big and lovable Snorlax if you remember is a Pokemon that requires a Poke Flute to cause a Pokemon battle if Snorlax wakes up, Snorlax debuts in Pokemon Red & Green and introduced in Generation 1.

Description:

"When Snorlax Mega Evolves, it becomes its own bed now covered in grass particles cloaking around its body producing a comfortable blanket wherever Snorlax wants to sleep. Its appearance makes it similar to a teddy bear children can hug warmly."

Just like how Snorlax was designed in the first place, it's based on hibernating bears and teddy bear with conidiations being laziness and food coma being used as basis steps. It's also inspired by Game Freak Planner, Koji Nishino.

Mega Snorlax is largely the same, but tree branches wrap around its feet preventing Snorlax from moving, fur becomes more expanded and fluffier than it's ever been. It frames the torso like a druidic mantle, giving the design a guardian‑of‑nature identity The central leaf emblem shaped like a necktie acts as a visual core, replacing Snorlax’s plain belly with a symbolic “heart” or “energy node”.

Mega Snorlax gets the Ability: Slow Start but it's already slow so it's workable in Trick Room. Mega Snorlax gets a big boost to its Physical Defense from 65 to 140, Special Attack from 65 to 115, Sp. Defense from 110 to 135.

The only stat that's being decreased when Snorlax undergo Mega Evolution is its Attack dropping from 110 to 60 which is the purpose of the Slow Start ability to be exist. It keeps Normal, but gains Grass as a secondary type allowing Grass type moves to handle Rock which resists Normal moves and Ghost which are immune to Normal type moves. However Grass will give Mega Snorlax six weaknesses.

Pokemon is owned by Nintendo.

My take on Mega Snorlax (OC)
