Exactly One Year Without Brand New Gods
Today, exactly one year ago, the last Brand New God (Princess Bari) was officially released in Smite 2.
It was a good strategy to focus in the classic gods, considering the game was in a complicated situation: they had just announced a layoff of half the team, which made the community prefer ported classic gods instead of completely new ones, because they were concerned about the future of the game.
Still, I, as a minority, think that after one year and 78 playable gods currently (74 classic ones), it would be time to slowly introduce new names to the roster again.
I know there are still many gods to be ported, but some of us miss the hype of a new god, and I see this topic being debated every day on Titan Talk.
I think it's time to take the new gods out of the freezer, after all, they say there are gods that are half-ready...
Even if those who want new gods are a minority, shouldn't they also be catered to at least once or twice a year?
