Has anyone received an O-1 visa to live and work in the United States as a music artist?

I am 18 years old and I’m from Kazakhstan. My main goal is to become a music artist and build a career in the music industry. Right now I’m trying to understand what realistic paths could eventually lead me to living in the United States and developing my career there.

At the moment, I see a few possible scenarios for myself:

1. Pursuing a master’s degree abroad.
I could finish my university in my country at around age 21 and then try to apply for a master’s program in the US, Canada, or other countries. The problem is that I don’t have enough money to pay for tuition myself. So in this scenario I would have to rely either on getting a grant/scholarship, or on the possibility that by the time I graduate I will be earning enough money to pay for my studies.

Another concern is that if I follow the academic path and study in the US, I would most likely need to work for a company for several years after graduating in order to obtain the ability to stay and live there legally. That could take time and focus away from building my music career.

I’m also somewhat concerned about time. I don’t want to become a “rising star” only in my 30s — although I understand that this is completely normal. I would prefer to start actively working on music as early as possible: experimenting, releasing tracks, and gradually building my name.

2. Developing my music career in my home country.
After graduating from university, I could stay in Kazakhstan, work intensely on my music, release songs, grow an audience, and hope that over time I could qualify for an O-1 visa to live and work in the US as an artist with notable achievements.

However, I understand that this path is also very difficult. As far as I know, it’s quite rare for a record label to simply discover an artist, reach out to them, and help them move to another country. So I try to look at this option realistically.

I also understand that nowadays it’s not strictly necessary to physically be in the US or another country to develop a music career — a lot can be done online. But I feel that being there might make it easier to build connections, meet people in the industry, and find opportunities.

My question:
Has anyone here actually received an O-1 visa to live and work in the US as a music artist (or in the creative industry)?

I would also really appreciate any advice on how to approach choosing a path in a situation like mine.
