Hey all - throwaway for reasons.

My husband and I have been together nearly a decade. We have a kid, a solid relationship, and are very honest with one another.

His job means he is deeply rooted in the tech world. He uses LLMs daily and it honestly has replaced any Googling, research, etc in his professional and personal life. I have expressed my concerns about using AI all the time (I am also in a field that is very much threatened by AI), as well as environmental concerns related to it.

What's really got me weirded out lately is that he's been open with me that he uses it to generate images and videos of porn. He first revealed this maybe a year ago and I gave him shit for it, but also a bit 'to each their own,' maybe it was a novelty, he will get over it. I assumed it was something he dabbled with and then left alone.

Very recently he mentioned new models of LLM allowing him to create even better porn. I know he isn't generating anyone we know, or using it for creepy/nefarious reasons like that, but... ew? I just can't shake this one. Realizing he's been using it to masturbate all this time is somewhat startling and off-putting to me.

Am I not seeing things from his perspective? Is this harmless? AIO?
