Taunt jet upper on ps5 controller

Is it possible to hit taunt jet upper on a ps5 controller consistently? I’ve been struggling for hours to get the right timing. And after seeing tutorial videos, I notice they use a fighting stick, which they can move the whole joystick with one hand and I think it makes it easier.
