[Karachi, Pakistan] Can I update DS-160 AFTER appointment is scheduled? I-20 changed.

Hi everyone,

I have an F1 visa interview scheduled at the Karachi Consulate in a few weeks. However, since I booked the slot, my admission information has changed (I-20 details).

I need to update my DS-160 to reflect this, but I’m terrified of losing my appointment slot, and if I lose this one, I might not get another for months.

My situation:

• There is no "Update Profile" or "Edit DS-160" button on portal.
• I have already created a new DS-160 with the updated info.
• I do NOT want to cancel and reschedule because the system shows no dates.

Questions:

1. Has anyone recently (2025/2026) gone to the Karachi consulate with a different DS-160 than the one on their appointment letter?
2. Did the staff at the VAC update it for you on the spot?
3. If I submit a support ticket/feedback, will they update it manually or tell me to cancel?
4. Is it safe to just show up with both confirmation pages (old and new)?

Any recent experiences or advice would be much appreciated!
