A workaround for the discord freezing bug related to windows notifications

Hello everyone, for the past months i've been encountering this annoying bug where the app just freezes whenever you get a message or notification.

I came across /u/D1rtyFingaZ super useful post. However it doesnt work for me as well as for other people.

In any case, i've noticed that the freeze can be quickly solved if you just kill WpnUserService task, so i decided to just create a .bat file that i can double click whenever i encounter the issue for a quick and simple workaround.

Some steps for people who wants to use it:

• Step 1: Open task manager and search for "WpnUserService" then right click > go to details

• Step 2: Note down the PID number

• Step 3: Create a new txt file and copy this without quotation marks "taskkill /F /PID XXXXX" where XXXXX is the PID number you noted down, for example "taskkill /F /PID 41152"

• Step 4: Save the file and rename it to whatever you want.bat instead of .txt, for example "KillNotifications.bat"

Now, whenever you have discord (or outlook, like it happens to me) frozen, just double click the .bat file and it will be fixes in a second, no need to close the app, restar the pc or sacrifice an unicorn.

Obviously this is merely a workaround for those like me who cant make /u/D1rtyFingaZ post's to work, but at least its something.

I hope this helps other people, see you around
