Is a wealth tax a good idea?

I think a wealth or inheritance tax is a good idea so a single person doesn't have too much money (power). I prefer the wealth tax because I think it is fairer. Imagine a person who moved here and dies after 2 years vs a person who lived their whole life here. It wouldn't be fair if they have to pay the same amount of inheritance tax or what if a person moves abroad 2 years before they die? The wealth tax only affects you if you life here.

I also don't like capital gains tax. Imagine if I own stock in company A at value 100 which I have bought for value 50 years ago I believe it will raise to value 102 within a year but I believe company B will raise in value by 3%. But it doesn't make sense to sell my stock to buy company B because of the capital gains taxes I would owe. Therefore it is best for me to keep A so I have 102 in stocks next year instead of (100 - 50* (capital gain taxes)) * 1,03

What would you think if we would additionaly abolish capital gains tax with the wealth tax?
