Just a reminder about payouts
Don’t expect to wake up with cash in your bank account this morning (for attorney people, unsure about pro se).
- The Trust is sending out funds to the attorneys every Tuesday now if they have submitted Lien v2 forms.
- The money sits in a State bar fund until the Trust verifies your lien - not your attorneys personal bank.
- Your attorney has to send you an e-sign to confirm that you accept the amount, review the terms and any fees ( a day or two).
- It is then released to your attorney to disburse to you via check (a week or two probably) or wire transfer (technically minutes but probably a day or so).
Think back to your first disbursement (assuming you’ve gotten it). Remember the back and forth. It may be different this time - and I hope it is - but even if you get notified it is approved it is unlikely you’ll see it today or this week.
This is me being pragmatic , keeping myself sane as I wait. Hope it helps you cope too.
If you DO get paid, please fill out the form so we can see what the pattern might be. Good luck, stay strong.
