Traveling to Schengen countries from US with medication

Hi!

I have a trip planned to Europe and tbh I can’t find enough information on traveling with medication. Some sources say having your name on the pill bottle is enough and others mentioned that they had their doctor write a letter on official letterhead.

My doc suggested maybe I don’t bring it at all… I don’t think that’s an option.
