Do other girls also get rejected by men because they’re taller?

Hi everyone,

I’m a girl who’s around 170+ cm (about 5’7”), and something I’ve been noticing lately is how much height seems to matter in dating. I’ve always heard that girls prefer taller men, but honestly, I personally don’t care about a guy’s height at all.

In fact, I’ve always found myself attracted to guys who are my height or even shorter. For me, connection, personality, and how someone treats others matter way more than something physical like height.

But the weird thing is that I’ve started feeling like my height itself is a red flag for some men. A few guys have told me they feel uncomfortable dating a girl who might be taller than them, or they assume I’m only looking for someone much taller.

The truth is I actually like shorter guys, and I don’t see height as a problem at all. But sometimes it feels like people already have that assumption before even getting to know me.

So I’m curious are there other girls here who feel the same way? Have you ever been in a situation where your height made dating harder, especially if you’re open to dating shorter men?
