Struggling with visibility on Etsy despite strong conversion rate. Any advice?

Seller Needs Help

Hi everyone, I’m hoping to get some insight from other sellers because I feel a bit stuck.

I run an Etsy shop selling tarot readings. My shop is about 7 months old and I’ve reached 1241 sales so far, which I’m really grateful for. My conversion rate is currently 19.3%, which from what I understand is quite high. I also have over 100 listings with different reading types and price ranges, and I’ve spent a lot of time researching what people are searching for directly on Etsy. I also tried turning on Etsy ads to see if that would help bring in more traffic, but that did absolutely nothing for me. Oh and I also did not change my titles using Etsy’s AI suggestions.

Over the past 2 or 3 months it feels like Etsy has stopped sending traffic to my shop. Right now I get around 20–30 visits per day, and 90% of that traffic comes from “Etsy app & other pages”. Thankfully I have many returning customers who keep coming back, and I’m extremely grateful for that, but new customers are much harder to reach now.

One thing that makes this especially discouraging is the competition in the tarot category. Many listings that rank high offer AI-generated readings delivered in minutes (although they are obviously presented as personalized tarot readings 😩), and many of those shops rack up hundreds of sales a day. A lot of the listings also look extremely similar (AI-generated images, basically the same fonts, even the same grammatical mistakes),which makes me feel like multiple shops might be run by the same people or coordinated groups.

I know competition is obviously a normal part of Etsy and I’m not complaining about my sales. What I’m really struggling with is that I just can’t figure out how to get more visibility anymore, or if it’s even possible when some stores keep getting massive amounts of sales in a very short time. I’ve created many very specific listings (readings) and covered most of the keywords that are commonly searched for in this category, but that doesn’t seem to make much difference anymore. I'm also not sure if adding more listings would help. I already have over 100 listings, and at this point I feel like I’ve run out of ideas for new ones that people would actually search for.

Again, I’m extremely, EXTREMELY grateful for the sales I’ve had so far, but I do depend on this income because I have to help support my family, and I’m trying to understand if there’s anything else I could realistically do to improve visibility.

Has anyone experienced something similar where traffic from Etsy search dropped significantly? Are there strategies that helped you regain visibility?

Any insight would be really appreciated. Thank you 😞

... Sorry this post ended up being so long, I just wanted to give as much context as possible!
