How and where to sell fursuits?

Discussion :zf3:

I apologize in advance if this is not the best subreddit to post this, but I have no clue what to do. The question, though it looks simple and many may think it's pretty basic and easy, had put me in the blue. I'm sorry if the terms I use are not professional, I'll try to make it up with longer descriptions instead. Plus I don't speak English so there is a barrier when it comes to naming materials. But anyway. Here I am asking more for my sister than myself. She's into fursuits and over time got quite the experience with sewing, gluing and fur care taking. But since the hobby is very expensive, you need a good amount of funds to continue. Thus, she'd like to sell her first ever made mask along with accessories: a set of paws and a tail. Since she's not an adult, she asked me for help to make the offer online. But months are passing, and nothing had happened yet. People ask, promise they will buy and then ghost me. I assume the reasons for having a hard time selling are:

  • low demand in our country compared to ones like US (though I've been to a few furwalks with her and a few meets and the numbers in people do reach thousands. As well as anime/games/fantasy conventions, there are always individuals with dope fursuits, so it's not nonexistent)
  • high costs
  • lower quality making it an easy pass. If someone wants a good quality mask, they usually would go all the way and buy a very expensive thing, rather than start small. Or try making one themselves. I've noticed it, because many potential buyers that text me are usually kids, and I get hit with "I need to ask my mom for the money first". So my question is, are there specific sites where I can list the offer and sell it quicker? So far, it's available on Vinted and OLX (niche marketplace in my country). I've seen people mention that Instagram might be a good place as well, but it would be hard to get any recognition without posts and followers. Any ideas what can I do? Subreddits, maybe discord groups? EU only tho, we don't want to hassle with sending overseas such a big package, and most people here have way better quality suits as far as I've read.

PS. Another reason for lower interest might be that this one is "a dino mask". Like, obviously it's painted, has that black material covering the eyes (idk what's called), customized with specific clay, three colors of fur on the back and ears. But as far as I've read, many people hate on these and don't acknowledge them as real fursuit masks. But I thinks it's begginer and budget friendly, and might be a bit more sturdy because it's plastic, right? But even so, along with fur paws long to elbows and a tail made out of foam and covered in fur, maybe it's the pricing that's too high? I've seen people get hundreds and thousands for their work even if it wasn't "the best of best quality". I get that material costs and time is a huge factor, I myself sit in cosplay so I have a tiny grasp of this hobby I guess, but is €120 too high of a price? Perhaps we should lower it, but that would feel like giving it away for free. Please, any tips and recommendations would be welcome, as I've said, I'm not that familiar with this hobby, I only know what my sister tells me about..
