Urgent: Looking for Acetylcholinesterase (AChE) enzyme for thesis experiment (vial exchange or small aliquot)

I’m a graduating student from DLSMHSI. I’m reaching out in case any lab in the community might be able to help us with a small amount of Acetylcholinesterase (AChE) for an urgent phase of our thesis work.

We currently have Acetylcholinesterase from Electrophorus electricus (500 U/mg) on order, but unfortunately there has been an unexpected shipping delay, which means we can’t proceed with our scheduled HPTLC enzyme bioautography and microplate assays.

For our experiments, we need a total of ~30.225 Units (U) of AChE activity.

We were wondering if any lab might be able to help through one of the following options:

1. Vial Exchange

If you have an unopened refrigerated vial of AChE (500 U/mg), we would be very grateful to borrow it. We will replace it with our brand-new identical vial once our shipment arrives (expected around April 2026).

2. Small Liquid Aliquot

If a full vial isn’t available, would it be possible to provide a liquid aliquot of ~50–100 Units?

Our protocol uses enzyme reconstituted in 0.1 M phosphate buffer (pH 8.0). If your stock is in a different buffer or contains stabilizers, we can check compatibility with our TLC spray and assay reagents.

We’re happy to acknowledge your assistance in our thesis or compensate for reagent costs.
