Italian(?) Arthurian lore

2. Italian Romantic Reimagining (I Due Tristani)
In some later Italian "Romances," the stories of the parents were softened to make them more heroic. In these versions:
Meliodas and Elizabeth are portrayed as a "Power Couple" of the era.
They successfully defend Lyonesse from invaders and sorcerers.
While they eventually pass away, they do so after a long, prosperous reign, having seen their son become a legend.
If this is real, then Elizabeth doesn’t need to die!! “Long, prosperous reign” is mentioned. DOES THAT MEAN THEY DIE OF OLD AGE?! I AM REFERRING TO MELIODAS AND ELIZABETH!!!
