Local Restaurant Suggestions

So the last piece i need to book for my trip is where to eat. I was planning to just wing it and whatever we felt like trying we would try because I wanted to help the smaller restaurants not on Google. So any suggestions for:

1. Athens

2. Heraklion (Crete)

3. Rethymnon (Crete)

4. Chania (Crete)

We aren’t in Greece long, but any suggestions for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner would be much appreciated. TIA!
