Aguilar Tone Hammer Preamp Pedal – will I miss a cab sim?

Hello dear bass community,

I would like to buy the Tone Hammer preamp pedal, but I'm really curious if I will miss a built in cab sim and if so, what to buy instead.

I want to use it mostly for gigs (amp-less through PA and sometimes with an additional cabinet on stage) and recording trough my interface (two tracks via pre-eq DI and jack cable out).
