Metronome hiccup after very first beat

I don't know if others experience this, but on my iPad (a 2025 model) I very often get a small metronome hiccup after the very first beat of the song, in synth mode.

So the countdown goes fine, then I get the first beat perfectly timed, then it seems to "choke" for a split second, giving me the second a bit too late, but it gets back in sync on the third beat and all is well from there.
