Starting Ritalin (10mg). What should I expect?

Hi! Gone through posts with the Ritalin keyword but they're mostly dated.

Starting on Ritalin tomorrow as prescribed by my psych. How are your guys' experiences here? So far, I've seen people say (in different subreddits) that you should eat a heavy breakfast before taking it so the side effects won't be as bad.

How's your experience with this? 🥹 Kinda scared but I'm hopeful. Diagnosed with ADHD (Combined) last Feb lang.
