The developers of Marvel Rivals are cracking down on sabotage in ranked matches. NetEase Games has announced the introduction of a compensation system for affected players and stricter penalties for those who intentionally lose.

The new mechanic is called the "Victim Compensation Protocol." In an official statement on platform [X](https://x.com/MarvelRivals/status/2030463514436137214), the developers noted that it will reimburse players who are left at a disadvantage due to teammates abandoning the match.

The problem of "rewarding leaving" is that some players receive incentives for deliberately exiting matches at critical moments, forcing their team to fight under unfair conditions. This leads to unjust defeats and loss of ranking points for innocent players.

NetEase Games emphasized that they have taken community feedback into account and promise not only to block unfair practices but also to actively compensate for the damage. Details about the form of compensation - whether it's refunded ranking points, in-game currency, or something else, will be revealed after the full updated version is released.
