\*REPOST because i’m 15 hours behind and got the times messed up -sorry!!\*

I’m in the US and still 2 episodes behind, but have to vent about the joke situation because it’s really baffling me. While I have to agree that Bec’s delivery and choice of making the joke wasn’t tasteful, and in true Bec fashion she handled the aftermath of said joke HORRIBLY, I also definitely agree that Rachel’s reaction is a bit laughable and melodramatic. Obviously it’s a show about relationships, but to make a special toast to tell the group you’ve \~been intimate\~ is very cringey in and of itself so someone making a joke about it during a night of drinking seems pretty benign. Sure no specifics were shared, but calling special attention to your bedroom activities and making everyone toast to your sex life is sort of an invitation for people to discuss said bedroom activities. The joke was in poor taste so I would totally understand if Rachel/Steven had just said “that was vulgar Bec, let’s not” — but I truly don’t understand the whole “I’m in hysterics because I decided to share our sex life progress report and someone made a joke about that so now I’m going to act like that’s an attack on my marriage”? If you doing hand stuff in the bedroom is such a huge deal to you as a 34 year old woman that everyone has to treat it like a huge milestone and shower you with nothing but well-mannered congratulations about your sex, that seems like a you problem?? Again, the joke was bad and the whole bit about Danny “helping” Steven was awful, but I think it was literally just a bad joke, nothing deeper. And saying “you’ve made a joke of my relationship” just makes you seem massively insecure… And she’s STILL dragging it on in this interview and talking about how much it impacted her relationship which seems like your relationship is far too dependent on others’ opinions. Thoughts?

P.S. Juliette acting all holier than thou about it also….. LOL
