Where's Heath?

Hey TWD fans, where the hell is Heath? We saw him runaway when Tara was being attacked by walkers on the bridge, but we never saw him again. Now I know the actor left the show but why not recast? Instead we're walking through neighborhoods scream "Heath!" In hopes he'd respond one day lol.
