Does anyone know how First Advantage perform background verification?

Hi,

I got an offer from a USA based company for remote Developer role and they use First Advantage for background verification. They have taken quite a lot of details from me and it looks like it’s an international company. I just wanted to know how do they perform background verification?

Also, do they call current or previous employers?
