My biggest criticism of dbs Broly is the fact that he doesn’t feel like Z Broly. He doesn’t scratch the same itch that Z Broly does. You can argue that he doesn’t need to, but imo it’s fundamentally a net negative not to. And the sad thing is that it would have been so easy to rectify this.

Dbs Broly is completely missing Z broly’s sadistic, maniacal, bully-like personality that made Broly such an icon, and replaced it with mindless Oozaru rage. Z Broly even at his most mentally questionable(movie 10) was a far cry from mindless. Dbs Broly when in rage is more like bio Broly than actual Z Broly.

In contrast, Kale in the manga when she went berserk, wasn’t a mindless brute but actually harbored very Z Broly-like tendencies. She was maliciously smiling and laughing the entire time whilst beating down on others, being very mindful of her domination of others, and just flaunting an overconfident juggernaut aura with her the whole time. She was 102% straight high on the power which eroded her reasoning and made her a battle loving psycho.

It would have been SO EASY to of made dbs Broly like this. Instead of the human Oozaru thing making him fully devolve mentally, just make it so it amplified the more negative/aggressive aspects of his personality.

Would have made dbs Broly 9000x more interesting as a character if the wrathful state was a means to justify giving him a sorta spit personality that allowed dbs Broly to still be a good person whilst also giving us the evil as hell Broly we remember as a alt persona. All in one character.

TL;DR

If dbs Broly’s wrathful state triggered a split personality that resembled Z Broly instead of just a mindless Oozaru, it would of made dbs broly so much more interesting as a character whilst keeping the aspects we loved about Z Broly true to form in Dbs Broly. As is, dbs Broly feels too distant from the heart of the character and may as well not even be called Broly.

Like seriously, the sheer potential in dbs Broly fighting off the inner demons of a genocidal psychopath alter ago over control of his power is >>>>>>>>>>>>>> If I fight I might lose control go monke mode.exe until I calm down.

Why didn’t they do this?!? Dbs Broly could of been PEAK
