Newbie asking for advice

Hi everyone!

I just started buying Pokémon cards and I’m kind of lost on what to buy. Do you have any recommendations?

I’ve heard people say to focus on sets with the most potential (from newest to older sets) and to keep the boxes sealed. What do you think about that strategy?

These are the sets I’m currently looking at:

• Ascended Heroes (new set)
• Destined Rivals
• Prismatic Evolutions
• Chilling Reign
• Astral Radiance

Also, what should I be looking out for this year with the 30th anniversary?
