UPDATED: Right Ankle MRI Results + Severe Pain – Looking for Advice/Feeling helpless

I injured my ankle 11 days ago and just got my MRI results. Here are the key findings:

Ligaments

•	Anterior talofibular ligament (ATFL): partially torn and weakened

•	Calcaneofibular ligament (CFL): partial tear

Swelling / Soft Tissue

•	Extensive soft tissue swelling around the ankle, worst on the back-inner side

•	Edema in Kager’s fat pad behind the ankle

Overall MRI impression:

Partial ligament tears (ATFL + CFL) with significant soft tissue swelling, but no fractures and all tendons intact.

My symptoms right now:

•	Extreme pain on the outside of my ankle

•	Pain on the front of my shin that shoots down the top of my foot

•	Random shooting pains

•	Severe pins-and-needles feeling on the bottom of my foot

•	Pain gets much worse if my foot hangs downward instead of being at a 90° angle

•	Sometimes the pain shoots up my shin and down toward my heel

The strange thing is that some swelling has gone down but the pain has actually gotten worse around days 7–10.
