Middle sized cities in the Anglosphere for young people to move?

Hey All,

First off, I’m not a millennial—I’m a 2001 Gen Z (M)—but I figured this sub would be the best to post this question.

I currently live in the US state of Michigan, and I’m considering pursuing a new career in sustainability/conservation in the next 3-4 years. Mostly because I’m passionate about doing good for the world that will allow me to take pride in my work. I’m a regular old white American who only speaks English, so I guess that narrows down my options. I lived in Australia for a couple of months during my undergrad and really liked it there, but I figured I would ask real people the above question rather than AI. What are some good options for me to consider?
