Anyone here have Metacam long-term success stories?

Hello!

My cat has recently been prescribed Metacam for chronic pain, and my vet mentioned it might need to be used for a longer period (at a lower dose of 0.034mg/kg). I’ve been reading a lot online and, to be honest, some of the information out there is a bit scary.

I’d really appreciate hearing from people whose cats have been on Metacam long-term. How long were they on it? Did they tolerate it well? Were there any side effects or kidney issues, or did everything go smoothly?

If you’ve had a positive experience with it helping a cat’s quality of life, I’d especially love to hear about that.
