Gas line flags

2 weeks ago they, city or gas company, I don't know, put all these flags up in my backyard. Red, white and yellow. Looks like they are going to put new gas lines in. I'm on Parkview circle. It's mowing season. Am I just supposed to mow around? It goes from the neighbors to the other neighbors the entire length. 2 flags already are dislodged from one neighbors dogs that run loose at night. Be kinda nice if they would simply let homeowners know the plan at least. Last time was years ago and they just left them and didn't do anything with them.
