The Great Khan was in fact shocked when he heard Sparkle jet's decision. The young mare stood before the Rat man with a dead look in her eye. Tears were gone. not even a quiver. Therapist intelligence reports indicated a stark behavioral change after the orb incident. Becoming more calculated and detached. Going as far as to take notes on books she reads instead of just doodle. THis behavior was incongruent with average foals around her age... granted, now with the yak war over, yet another generation of ponyfolk her age would likely be traumatized too. said notes contained references to Coups...some state sponsored, others more subtle. Mercury soup poisoning of a nord king was circled in red crayon.

In the decadent Halls of the Cattail Palace, The khan sat on the throne next to his eldest son who stood guard along with the other body guards. The vermensk prince couldn't hide his concern either.

"You're aware, they are a horde of Barbarians who could easily stomp you to death. " THe khan clarified while rubbing his brow. "do you even have any idea what they want with you?"

there was a frown as the khan watched the gears turn in the foal's head.

"in the footage i've been repeatedly watching, The yaks are only stomping the ponies who are still resisting. furthermore, Their capacity for spycraft is limited to ponyfolk. i dont know anything about war, and frankly i've been kept away from one. But if the stomping will stop if i go to the Yaks... then i will take the chance. " the young mare answered in a deceptively calm monotone. "i am the new empress, and the last empress died to stop the stomp. i should find a way to stop the stomp as well. i have copy pasted all the books in the safehouse library i had access to. I will be wearing my power armor. i will not be taking no for an answer."

This level of maturity was concerning. The parents bore body language that conveyed similar worries. The khan could see in their souls that they tried to talk the new empress Sparklejet out of it, but were uncertain on how to proceed given her inherited position.

"Whats to stop them from breaking their word?" the khan asked the filly, hoping to ignite a thought of doubt in the young alicorn's mind.

"well, they did invade a nation you so painstakingly wasted billions in tax payer money and then topple it, making the weapons left behind by the rats, and the precious occupier look like foam blasters. Cant be a good look. "the young mare spoke. "consider my going an attempt at saving you another few hundred billion, protecting your international reputation, and use what the rats taught us."

Princess Sparklejet decides to comply with Yak demands after thinking hard.
