Advice on a good go to work solid sturdy blade.

Question

So i am a farmer. Im not too into the high end stuff. I do own 2 pm2's, a delica, and benchmade 940. Im not sure, ive tried them....if i either havent felt off for using them (im sure because they are rather expensive), they seem to either bust an omega spring, or have a quality control issue (which seems to be very prevalent with the spyderco's ive purchased)

Honestly my favorite go to work, hard use blad mostly have been the lower end of cold steel. Ive been a fan of the verdict. I think the steel has mostly been aus10? I dont get super picky about it. I have all the tools amd skills to re-profile, i mostly just get a 20-25 degree edge and once i get that done i just hone the blades with ceramic and strop with leather for the rest of the blades life. Edge retention......really comes on the back burner within reason.

Cold steel really has a good working reliable lock. I dont really get into the fidget stuff. Seems super tough, super strong, and ive used most my lower end cold steels to do not knife sfuff such as a screwdriver and a light prybar. (I know enthusiasts wont like that). They just hold up and go and go, a good rehoning to make them serviceable (not hair popping sharp).

After all, they are super easy to replace if i do break it. I havent yet but the time may come.

Anyone else have a similar alternative?
