Your taste isn’t a personality

I have been wanting to talk about this. Maybe it’s common for a lot of Pakistanis to do but it shouldn’t be. It’s not even constructive criticism, it’s being a b. Like how can you comment on someone’s outfit if they think it’s cool. How can you make fun of someone’s music taste if millions of other people listen to it. You cant judge someone’s hobbies, passions or the things that make them happy because they’re not what you would choose.

Your preferences aren’t universal truths. They are opinions shaped by your own experiences and biases.

- What you find cringe in what someone finds joy in, what you think is weird, someone else finds fascinating.

Tearing people down for liking different things doesn’t make you superior. It just makes you someone who mistakes their taste for a personality.

Let people enjoy things even if you don’t get it. Life’s too short to waste energy on happiness.
