My buddy makes $200-400 every weekend just building IKEA furniture for people who just moved

Success Story

Hey guys, nothing to sell you here and no promotion or anything like that. I literally just have a story to share. This sounds too simple to work but hear me out. My friend posts on Facebook Marketplace and Nextdoor offering IKEA/wayfair furniture assembly. He charges $50-80 per piece depending on complexity. A KALLAX shelf is 50 bucks and takes him maybe 25 minutes now. A PAX wardrobe is 80 and he knocks it out in around under an hour.

The reason this works so well is that people who just moved are EXHAUSTED. They spent all day hauling boxes, their back hurts, and now they're staring at 4 flat pack boxes and a bag of tiny wooden dowels. At that point they'll pay almost anything to not sit on the floor with those wordless instruction booklets for 3 hours.

His best day was a couple who bought 6 pieces of IKEA furniture for their new apartment. He charged $380 total and they said "we don't care what it costs just please build it." Tipped him 60 on top.

The other smart move is he times it around the 1st of the month when new leases start. That first weekend is basically his super bowl lol. He books 4-5 jobs on a Saturday and clears 300+ easy.

Startup cost is literally just an electric screwdriver and an allen key set. If you're near apartments with high turnover this is free money.
