Ross full ride vs Cornell 50% vs Stern sticker for top bbs/ebs nyc healthcare investment banking?
Hi everyone,
I feel incredibly grateful to even be in this position and honestly didn’t expect my cycle to turn out this way. I’ve been fortunate to receive admission offers from University of Michigan Ross School of Business, Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, and NYU Stern School of Business. Ross offered me a full-tuition scholarship, Cornell offered approximately 50% tuition, and Stern admitted me at sticker price.
My goal post-MBA is to pivot into healthcare investment banking, ideally at top bulge bracket or elite boutique firms, and work in the healthcare coverage group. I have extensive experience in healthcare as a CPA including spearheading a firm’s healthcare practice. The long-term vision is to spend a few years in banking gaining transaction experience and then eventually transition into roles where I can have a broader impact in the healthcare industry.
Given that goal, I’m trying to think carefully about the trade-offs between Ross’s full scholarship, Cornell’s strong investment banking pipeline, and Stern’s location advantage in NYC. I’d really appreciate hearing from people who have gone through IB recruiting or have insight into placement for BB/EB healthcare groups.
I’m extremely thankful for these opportunities and just want to make the most thoughtful decision.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
